From owning an antique store in her 20’s, to becoming a wine peddler in Austin, Jane has become a teller of stories. Like a winemaker having a passion to create wine, similar to the process of planting the seeds, nurturing the land, and waiting patiently for the grapes to bloom, Jane Robin has a vision for her paintings. She feels her way through the unique process of movement – watching the colors grow, working with composition, and feeling the lay of the land on the canvas. When it all comes together, the effect of this process is truly palpable, like a visual drink of structure and balance.
Her paintings will leave you feeling energized, yet curious for more, and lead you down a road of spirit and authenticity. Who knows? You might feel like walking in Memphis, the rhythm and blues of her Elvis roots emerging in every brush stroke.
As she explains, “I want to be an example of the limitless possibilities we all have at any age to follow our voice, and to do what we love and live the ultimate glory of life. The yearning question: why are we always in a hurry to get through life? My intention in my artwork is to have the viewer stop and feel the emotions, breathe, and get lost in a journey full of color and abstract designs. My mission is accomplished when my artwork is the conduit to inner nourishment. I am just floating down a beautiful Texas river and drinking a color- filled life with my poodle, Phyllis. So grab an inner tube and let’s go, y’all! “
